Safe & Secure Dental Practices
At Andover Family Dentistry, we take your health and safety seriously. We invest in technology that ensures our instruments and treatment rooms are sterilized and sanitized between each and every patient.
In our sterilization room, we used advanced sterilization technology to ensure the safety of our patients. This process includes:
- Cleaning of every instrument through an enzymatic, ultrasonic solution
- Placement into a well-organized cassette system
- Sealing instruments in air-tight bags
- Sterilizing instruments at high heat and pressure after each and every use
During your treatment, we offer sunglasses to protect your eyes from the harsh lights, and we use the Isolite® system to ensure all dental materials are sucked up into the system instead of swallowed. Like we said, we take your health and safety seriously.
Third-Party Spore Testing
Every single week, we complete a third-party laboratory spore testing of all of our sterilization equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and safe for our patients and staff. We make sure we exceed the general American Dental Association (ADA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines for infection control. Your safety is important to us, so we take every precaution to protect you and your family.
Secure Personal Information
With medical and dental records going electronic, we understand your concern about the privacy and security of your personal information. We make sure we are compliant with OSHA and HIPAA regulations for how patient data is gathered, maintained, and stored. We never share your information with a third-party unless we have explicit written permission from you. Patient data is gathered using secure systems and maintained on secure servers. Even our online forms have encryption and firewall protections similar to that of online banking.
As with all other aspects of our practice, we aim to exceed the expectations and requirements for a safe, secure, and modern dental practice. We believe that using these extra measures is the right thing to do. There are other things to worry about in life, your safety at our office should not be one of them.
